Ok, so this might be off the topic. But I had a friend ask me how to tell when your mate is lying. The honest answer is . . . you can’t. Generally speaking, everyone lies – but the question I always have is what is their motivation for lying. . . . So, your options: 1)Become a human lie detector. 2)Catch them red handed – unless you subscribe to my favorite piece of dumb advice, “don’t trust your own eyes.” 3) Have faith.
Faith is not always an easy task but it has helped me when I made the distinction between two different types of liars. The person who you can’t trust right now or the person you shouldn’t ever trust.
